Wedding Services

‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…’

My unique services are based around this well-known wedding rhyme. Traditionally a bride would ensure that she included an element of each in her wedding ensemble to bring meaning and inspiration on the day and for good luck and happiness throughout her marriage.

I am able to create a piece of jewellery or an accessory that singularly represents part of the rhyme or is a combination of all of the aspects. I can use your wedding dress detailing and colour as inspiration for the pattern and crystal / semi precious stones used within the design, making your outfit complimentary from head to toe.

All of the jewellery can be designed to be worn after the wedding day or just kept as a treasured keepsake.

Something Old

This represents the connection between the bride’s family, particularly her mother or grandmother. I can transform a piece of vintage jewellery or an inherited item into a stylish, complimentary, wearable piece for your special day.

Some ideas: pearls from your grandmother can be used within a tiara design, an antique piece of lace or ribbon can be sewn onto a headband, a family saying may be written onto a charm or a photograph may be included in a locket design.

Something New

Wearing a new item on the wedding day conveys a message of optimism and hope for the bride’s new life. I can design and tailor-make your bridal jewellery and accessories to compliment your wedding dress or personal wedding theme.

For example if your wedding is vintage inspired, then this can be considered and reflected within the jewellery / accessory designs.

Something Borrowed

This symbolises a bride’s closeness to family and friends. I can make a design combining a sentimental object given as a gift for your wedding day, that will still be wearable once the item has been returned. Alternatively I offer a range of affordable pieces that can be hired for the day.

Some ideas: a broach can be created to be added to and enhance a borrowed necklace, a hair comb can be made that combines a friend’s favourite earring, a charm necklace can be made with a borrowed ring.

Something Blue

This colour evokes faithfulness, purity and loyalty. Blue was traditionally incorporated into wedding attire to denote love, modesty and fidelity. I can create a trinket to be hidden or a statement piece in blue for you.

For example a blue ribbon may be sewn onto a garter or an anklet made with blue crystal / semi precious stones, both worn hidden under the dress. Alternatively, more of a feature can be made of the colour, with a necklace or tiara being made wholly in blue crystal / semi precious stones such as Lapis or Blue agate.
